Juniper Berries

Beyond its wood, juniper is also highly sought after for its blackish berries. The latter unveil aromas with a peppery, woody and slightly resinous flavor. Also used in cooking or for making gin, juniper is highly sought after by perfumers. Its berries are steam distilled in order to extract an absolute. Likewise, juniper twigs are also used in perfumery for their aromatic scents. The juniper thus brings to the perfumes a spicy flavor, at the same time fine and racy.
